Extra Virgin Olive Oil is obtained from "Frantoio", "Moraiolo" and "Leccino" olives, grown in our olive groves. We use only natural fertilizers and no insecticides, (reg. European Community), checked and certified by the C.C.P.B. (Consorzio per il Controllo dei Prodotti Biologici). The olives are hand-picked and brought directly to the olive-press, from which a fragrant extra virgin oil with low acidity is obtained. The biologic agriculture is a method of cultivation which bars/excludes plant protection products and fertilizers. The defense of farming/cultivation occurs with natural cultivation techniques acknowledged by the E.C. (reg. nr. 2092/91). The production process of a biologic farm is steadly supervised and certified by bodies/organizations being authorized by each nation belonging to the E.C.. This happens to olives too, coming from a certified biologic farming. Our "extra virgin olive oil from biologic production" is obtained from these olives. Every single olive stock/lot is separately milled and the derived oil undergoes further analysis. It is put on the market presenting the "controllo biologico" mark and the expression "Agricolture Biologica - Regime di controllo CEE" Organoleptic Features: having a green colour, with golden tints/hues, this oil has a vegetable scent and tastes fruity, bitterish and lightly spicy.
